This whole section is a meta-experiment. I'm not a dedicated web dev, but building this site has been fun. This resume as a mock GitHub PR is a way of practicing Astro components while providing some tongue-in-cheek 'inside scoops' on the typical resume refinement process.
๐ฏ What Changed
Reframed conversational "war stories" into concise, professional, and quantifiable accomplishments to maximize signal-to-noise ratio.
๐ก Why
If this were a real PR, I'd be optimizing for bots and people
โ Testing
โขโ Ran it through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) keyword sieve
โขโ Confirmed the buzzword density is high enough for the robots, low enough for the humans
โขโ Checked for potential over-use of "synergy" or "pivot" (Zero-tolerance policy applied)

## Experience
8
9
### Mobile Engineering Manager / Staff Engineer โ Hatch, Palo Alto, CA
10
*May 2023 โ Present*
11
12
Manage 6 Android and iOS engineers building the Restore platform. Balance strategy, execution, delivery, and people development while actively contributing code in Kotlin, Swift, Jetpack Compose, and SwiftUI.
13
14
- Co-developed and evangelized company-wide adoption of "Absurd Purism," a UI architecture pattern across Android and iOS teams, creating demo applications, documentation, and hosting weekly training sessions to accelerate development velocity and improve code maintainability
15
16
- Led cross-functional initiatives coordinating mobile, backend, data science, and embedded teams, contributing production code in Kotlin and Swift while architecting integrated IoT product features
- Managed team performance through coaching 4 engineers to high performance and making difficult personnel decisions with 2 others to maintain team standards
21
22
- Delivered Restore 3 MVP amid shifting constraints by managing scope pressure and redirecting feature creep into fast-follow plans
23
24
- - Kept the team intact and shipping through a full leadership overhaul in my first three months. We had 20 mobile engineers supporting 2 backend devs, and product moved fast with evolving priorities. Made it work anyway.
24
+ - Maintained 100% team retention and consistent delivery velocity despite frequent leadership transitions and rapidly changing requirements
25
26
### Principal Android Engineer โ Homesnap, Bethesda, MD
27
*April 2019 โ August 2021*
28
29
Led Android strategy and delivery for Homesnap Showings and Citysnap, building new products while modernizing a decade-old codebase. Balanced architecture, mentorship, and delivery alongside developer experience improvements.
30
31
- - The company had acquired seven different backends. Mobile clients were drowning in duplicated logic surrounding which backend to hit and how to format each response. Built a BFF to consolidate that mess into one clean API. Feature velocity jumped immediately.
31
+ - Advocated for and led development of a Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layer to consolidate business logic from multiple acquired backend systems, significantly reducing mobile client complexity and accelerating feature delivery
32
33
- Drove platform modularization enabling the launch of Citysnap, a white-labeled NYC market release
34
35
- Built CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Fastlane, reducing deployment friction and enabling PR-based workflows
36
37
- - When I started, clean builds took 20+ minutes and copy changes took 3-4. Developers were losing their minds. Became a Gradle expert, cleaned things up a bit, and likely prevented a mutiny.
37
+ - Optimized Gradle and dev environment configuration, reducing local build times by 35%
38
39
- Mentored junior developers through weekly pairing and established cross-platform engineering syncs
40
